The Women’s Ministry is pleased to invite you to the Women’s Retreat on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2.

All had a wonderful time!!

Women's Retreat 2020 schedule

Our last retreat was scheduled in April 2020 and, as you know, we could not hold the retreat. But now we are planning our first retreat since 2019.

Our theme is Choose Joy.

The first 60 women to register will receive the Choose Joy Swag Bag.

Early Bird Registration ends Wednesday, March 16, and includes a retreat t-shirt.

And Final Registration ends Sunday, March 27, at Noon.

Our Speaker: Pastor Yolanda Toney is a Certified Lay Minister, and she currently serves as the Director of Congregational Care at Germantown United Methodist Church. She also serves as the Metro District Director of Lay Servant Ministry.

Yolanda is a retired English teacher which was her love and calling for over twenty-five years. With a ministry calling since the late 80’s, she has always been active in the church. She teaches Sunday school, and she teaches and attends Bible studies. She facilitated the original four year Disciple Bible study, and the updated three year Disciple Fast Track. Yolanda has led women’s retreats, is a member of the United Methodist Women, and she serves on the Board of Hannah’s Hope, an Adoption and Pregnancy Counseling Agency. She was a participant in the racial reconciliation twenty week workshop, Signpost, then she co-facilitated a Signpost ten week workshop for her church. (This was the first Signpost to be done in a single church community.)

Yolanda enjoys reading and leads a monthly book group where they read only books from the United Methodist Women Reading Program List. Her love of traveling worked to her advantage as she and her family have moved nine times, settling in Germantown in 2000. She is married to Allen Gerald Toney and they have three adult children and a granddaughter. They have been members of Germantown United Methodist Church for over twenty years.
