Backpack Blessing – July 19

Start the new school year with prayer and encouragement at our annual Backpack Blessing on Sunday, July 19, during the 11:00 a.m. worship service.

Students of all ages are invited to bring their backpacks to church as we pray for God’s protection, wisdom, and guidance throughout the coming school year. As part of the service, each backpack will receive a special blessing tag as a reminder that God is always with you wherever you go.

During the service, we will also bless the backpacks being donated to La Puerta UMC. These backpacks, filled with school supplies, will help students in their community begin the school year with the tools they need to succeed.

Whether you’re heading to preschool, elementary school, middle school, high school, college, or serving as a teacher or school staff member, we invite you to join us as we begin the school year together with faith and prayer.
