Mahjong at Emmanuel | National Mah Jongg League Play in Memphis, TN

Looking for a friendly place to play Mahjong in Memphis? Join us at Emmanuel United Methodist Church for weekly National Mah Jongg League games in a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. Whether you’re an experienced player or have never played before, you’ll find a supportive group that enjoys fellowship, fun, and a little friendly competition.

Our games are held in Emmanuel’s spacious Fellowship Hall, and everyone is welcome—church membership is not required. Invite a friend or come on your own. We provide Mahjong sets, tables, and a comfortable place to play.

We use the 2026 National Mah Jongg League Card and play according to National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) rules. Please bring your own 2026 card if you have one, although we have a few available for guests. If questions arise during play, several experienced players are happy to help, and we keep the Mahjong Made Easy guide available for easy reference.

Learn to Play Mahjong

Never played Mahjong? That’s perfectly okay! Our group enjoys introducing new players to the game. Several of our regular players are happy to teach beginners, and we periodically offer beginner Mahjong classes at Emmanuel.

Whether you’re looking to learn Mahjong, sharpen your skills, or simply enjoy an afternoon or evening with friends, we’d love to have you join us.
