Emmanuel has supported and participated in Project Transformation since it began in Memphis.
This summer, Emmanuel is partnering with Project Transformation again, but it will be different than years past because of the pandemic.
Ways for you to volunteer to support this ministry:
1. Summer Camp in a Bag – Emmanuel is providing 70 bags for the week of July 13th.
Click HERE for information and to print the checklist if you are interested in preparing one or more Bags. We need the bags in the church office by June 28.
2. Pen Pals – PT is asking for volunteers, age 16 and up, to be pen pals. Each Pen Pal volunteer will be paired with a student, writing back and forth as the summer allows. This is a great opportunity to help the students grow in their literacy and writing skills from home! Letters will be mailed to the Project Transformation office where they will be reviewed and sent to the connected Pen Pal. (June 1 -July 23). The penpals will need to have a background check. If you participated in reading to a child last year, your background check from last year is still valid for this year.
3. Volunteers are needed Monday through Thursday (July 13-16) to help organize, record, sanitize, and distribute daily meals and supplies to the families of participating children from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM. The volunteers need to be between the ages of 18-60 (children are not allowed to accompany volunteers.)

4. Pray with Project Transformation Tennessee, whether or not you are able to serve directly with us. We invite you to join us in surrounding our children, young adults, staff, and churches with prayer. Follow our 8-week Prayer Guide to pray for God’s transformative power to move this summer. 5. Donate – You can make a donation to Project Transformation through our online donation form (choose a Fund: Project Transformation) or text to give (text PT to 901-441-9254). Or you can mail a check made out to EUMC with Project Transformation in the memo: 2404 Kirby Rd, Memphis, TN 38119.
