SHARP YOUNG ADULTS NEEDED TO SERVE AS 2016 PROJECT TRANSFORMATION INTERNS

project transformation logoAt Annual conference and at our August district clergy meeting, an announcement was made that Project Transformation will be coming to Memphis in the summer of 2016.

Sixteen young adult interns will be needed to plan and organize activities for the children who will participate.

They will be building leadership skills while participating in faith development and spiritual formation activities as a group. They will live and work together for ten weeks during the summer of 2016.

Housing will be provided at a local university. Interns would receive a $1,500 stipend for living expenses. Meals and housing are provided.

The Project Transformation launch team needs your help in identifying young adults in the Memphis conference with a heart for ministry, good communication, leadership and organizational skills. They must be at least 19 years of age and have completed at least one year of college.

The application process will open October 1, 2015 and will close January 15, 2016. This is a great opportunity to develop the next generation of leaders and pastors in the Memphis Conference of the United Methodist Church.

If you know of a young adult who has potential as a PT Intern, please submit their name and contact info to Grace Phelps, PT Launch Team Chair at gphelps@covingtonfumc.com or 901-476-9694. We would like to contact them directly and invite them to apply for a PT internship. Your recommendation would be very helpful in our search for excellent candidates.
